Lists of volunteers, 1863 Dec.-1864 May, from the 11th District of the Northern Bureau of New York (Orange County) who received the county bounty for entering the Union Army. Individual entries are arranged by town and record date of muster and date of payment, with notes identifying African American recruits. Included is a printed announcement from the Acting Assistant Provost General for the Northern Division, Major Frederick Townsend, stating the enrollment quotas due from the various towns (Sub-Districts) of the 11th Congressional District.
